Where the Wild Things Are

I know everyone else is blogging about this but I just couldn't resist having this up here in case someone hasn't seen it. Beck and I both agree that we will most likely be crying the entire film.
The song alone makes me incredibly happy

Fun Fact Monday

Photobucket

-I finally got my L's. I have only driven twice but I can already tell I am better suited to the passenger seat.

-I have no money thanks to Lay By leaching all my disposable income. But boy do I want white doc martens

-3 more weeks until we go on break. 2 more terms until we graduate. The only thing I achieved today was
covering my face in charcoal and taking photos of a monk wine bottle. I baked cookies too. Things are looking bad.

-I can't wait for it to get cold so I can start wearing the numerous earmuffs I collected in Tokyo

- I missed a major plot line of 'Chobits' while writing this.

-My skeleton onesie pajamas finally came and they are unbelievable. will post pictures soon.

-McDonalds don't do 17th birthday parties

- It is actually Tuesday

on sunday ryan, madi and i were in the city.
it was a lazy day and no one bought anything but we were really happy to be in the company of each other i guess. madi and ryan both had their big fat cameras in tow and thought it would be fun to ambush me

mink pink

it's a bit weird, usually i dislike cheap imitation stuff (although i hate to spend money, just ask madi) and usually imitation brands never get it right but recently I've really been enjoying Mink Pink. It's cheap (always under 100) and looks nice. Excellent, disposable, seasonal pieces.
Plus Zippora is a babe.

I really want this book. It's like pretty, innocent porn. Not that I like porn. Nor would i usually buy a book of naked ladies.
The whole concept of the book is a bit creepy. The photo's are set up (hopefully) to look like they are taken while some girls don't know someone is looking, so they may be sunbaking topless, getting changed, fondling their friend while they play the piano, bending over. Okay that makes the book sound sick. Just read the article in russh on it. It looks really good.

fun fact monday

cute.

- i like the new gripp jeans store on rundle street.
- i am hoping to win this and
this and this on ebay. Claire Incorruptible always has awesome stuff.
- i am working all this weekend while clipsal 500 is on. for those who don't know what that is, it is when the scum of society get together and yell at cars. ford or holden? take your pick. i do not envy clipsal girls. poor things.
- i am paranoid i will never find a formal dress, and wish i could afford this

chloeeee

it appears all the shows i like seem to be of the flowy, beige kind. This is a complete departure from what my wardrobe looks like; rigid, tight, black, white, grey and cream. Maybe that's why I'm so attracted to this, as it is a complete change

love the beautiful big flowing skirts with the large blazer.
and the velvet pants, and the soft leather shorts (are they even leather).
eugh its so pretty my eyes are watering

Alexander McQueen

He was the first ever designer i ever fell in love with. I was thirteen and loved whimsy. When my friend Perri (honestly the most fashionable and talented person i know) showed me photos from "It's only a game" S/S 05, i was mesmerized. He has really done some crazy stuff in his time.

Balmain the same?

I wasn't astounded. I liked it... alot. But it seemed a bit what everyone else is doing, and has been doing for sometime with that astounding Balmain touch. I am not complaining as it is a look i can recreate and be happy with and nothing Balmain does is ever bad. ever. Though I agree with fashionologie. I did very much love the little shiny party dresses with big flowing trains to them. That was pretty awesome.
